ReadWriteWeb posts today about a new Mozilla product called Bespin, an online code editing tool. RWW rightly points out that while a whole lot of stuff already gets done with Web apps, building more of the Web isn’t really one of them. The tool is pretty simple and elegant, featuring a command line interface rather than elaborate menus. This alone is an interesting innovation (imagine what it could to do for webmail or productivity apps). Files can be imported and exported, previewed in the next tab over, and collaborated on with other users.

It’s a big step in the direction of being able to digitally live completely within the browser.
